Growls, meows, howls, chirps, and squawks. The Animal Forest is full of all kinds of wonderful animal music, and we are adding two new sounds to this eclectic ensemble. Baa’s and oinks! That’s right, the Animal Forest is scheduled to reveal their newest habitat in December. The Domestic Livestock exhibit will showcase animals the colonists would have had during their time at Charles Towne. It will boast sheep, goats and a hog and give visitors an understanding of not only the biology behind these animals but also their historical importance to the early colonists.

Be sure to visit the Animal Forest soon to see this newest addition for yourself, and while you’re there, make sure you listen closely as you stroll the zoo trails. You may find yourself in the middle of a fantastic recital where the animals are the orchestra!
